Burundi is often referred to as “The Heart of Africa,” and from a coffee perspective we definitely believe this to be true. Burundian coffees are full of bold, unique flavors, while maintaining a subtle complexity that reveals the great care, pride, and effort for sustainability that coffee growers from this little landlocked country invest into their crops. The coffee is surprisingly bright and vibrant – like the Burundi culture itself.
This year’s lot is very sweet, with juicy tropical fruit and a creamy mouth feel, and has a mild herbal quality that cuts through the milk chocolate finish. Experience “The Heart Of Africa” - experience Burundi.
