These are what set National Coffee Roasters apart from the others: • Cupping/grading; visiting plantations around the globe, selecting our fine coffees. Also, receiving samples for spot buying coffees that cannot be purchased by container. Years of experience cupping and grading coffees are an asset to our customers. • Roasting; with over 50 years experience, we are skilled artisans in the Northern European method of slow roasting our coffees. We are passive roasters, allowing the beans to roast rather than systematic roasting, accounting for moisture, air temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, and the age of the bean. We slow roast our coffees, and then smoke the beans at the end of the roast to enhance flavor and aroma. • We air cool our coffees and do not water quench our beans at anytime during the roasting process. This allows a better yield for the customer while not adding any water weight back into the beans. • We package our coffees as soon as possible after roasting. We do not store any coffees, thus ensuring fresh coffee delivered to you door. These principles on which the company was founded are still the backbone of National Coffee Roaster’s success. Our roasting process is neither the fastest, nor an inexpensive way to roast. Much like fine wine, this process of roasting is an art, and the end product reflects that labor of love.
