At Mocha Joe’s we believe in offering products that are safe for the environment and for our bodies. Which is why we only purchase coffees that are decaffeinated through non-chemical processes. The C02 Method that we use for our Peruvian Decaf extracts caffeine by submerging the beans in carbonated water. The carbon dioxide attracts the caffeine molecules like a magnet, leaving behind the carbohydrates and proteins that give the coffee its flavor.
This Organic Peruvian is decaffeinated with the CO2 process for a full, lively, light bodied coffee with gentle acidity. Both Organic and Fair Trade, this is our staff favorite decaf – crisp and savory, in a blind tasting, we can’t even tell it’s decaf!
