Roaster Tasting Notes:
Panama has been producing coffees of superior quality in recent years. This shining example in high grown in rich volcanic soil on the slopes of the Baru volcano. This coffee showcases a rich and lively flavor in a cup that features a mild acidity.
The joke among brokers is that a really good Kona is a Panama ...a really good Jamaican is a Panama ...a really good Costa Rican is a Panama ... you get the picture. While it is of course just a joke, and in fact all these coffees mentioned are quite unique and distinct from each other in the cup, the reason behind the statement is this: Panamanian coffees are underrated.
